In 2019, Hurricane Dorian destroyed 69 square miles of mangrove forests on Grand Bahama Island and The Abacos. Mangroves are a critical habitat for marine life like bonefish and play a key role in preventing shoreline erosion. In collaboration with Bonefish & Tarpon Trust (BTT), MANG is working with Bahamian partners to restore and preserve those habitats for future generations. Our bonefish crest design honors our commitment to replanting and restoring the Bahamas, incorporating the colors of the Bahamian flag and the world-renowned bonefish that draw sport fishers across the globe.
